About The Position

Main Purpose:
The Numerical Control (NC) Programmer nests parts to be cut by the NC Burning Machines. Additional responsibilities include the coordination of Burning activities in the Plate Shop.

Essential Functions:
Nest Piece Marked Plates from the Lofting department
Ensure that all parts are cut from the correct material
Confirm that all piece markings are on the corresponding pieces when cut
Validate that daily maintenance records are kept on all NC Burning Machines
Make sure that all maintenance is completed on all NC Burning Machines daily
Keeps records of plate inventors
Perform Overhead Crane inspections in the Plate Shop
Make sure that all cut parts are distributed to the correct job site
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of NC Programming experience
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing
• Turning, twisting, bending, and balancing
• Pushing, pulling and reaching
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of the practices and procedures of Cutting Machines and Computer Knowledge
• Forklift experience a plus
