About The Position

Tayco is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Maintenance Team as an Industrial Millwright. The Industrial Millwright will have the opportunity to analyze and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in equipment, diagnose, and correct problems in a timely manner to avoid production delays. The successful candidate will perform scheduled preventative maintenance on assigned machinery, equipment, and structures and will be required to modify and fabricate equipment to fit new production requirements. Requirements

  • Industrial Millwright, or equivalent program and/or work experience.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance and/or repairs in machining, and/or equipment operations.
  • Able to understand, speak, read and write English. Must be able to understand verbal and written work instructions and, in some situations, document them as accuracy and attention to detail is necessary.
  • Must be able to read and understand health and safety procedures, document work, train others, problem solve in teams, learn new work processes, and participate in continuous learning and weekly team meetings in English.
  • Strong mechanical / electrical aptitude and mathematical skills.
  • Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes to include but not limited to CNC, Brake Press, Welding, and assembly fixtures.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Detail oriented and is able to detect errors that would cause disruption in service, damage to equipment, monetary loss, or some loss in prestige or program value, and could affect the work of other departments.
  • Able to understand and follow established personal safety, security, and environmental practices.
  • Knowledgeable of, and compliant with Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Occupation Health and Safety Act (OSHA) as well as other applicable laws and codes.
