As a Maintenance Mechanic with Tradebe you will do a variety of maintenance work on the equipment at the plant. This is an industrial maintenance role. The ideal candidate will have industrial maintenance experience dealing with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Experience with carpentry and welding is a plus.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working maintenance in an industrial environment
  • Three to five years of industrial maintenance experience
  • MIG Welding; Stick preferred
  • Have a willingness to learn how to troubleshoot and repair different types of industrial equipments and machinery
  • Be willing to participate in company-sponsored training for professional mechanic/millwright development purposes
  • Must have a basic set of tools
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with carpentry
  • Experience with welding

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a working knowledge of plant equipment and operations.
  • Maintain, repair, and replace mechanical components including gauges, valves, regulators, and related parts
  • Have working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems – including but not limited to diagnostics, repair via use of gauges and common hydraulic troubleshooting methods.
  • Ability to complete advanced pump building projects, pump repairs and blower rebuild
  • Perform equipment alignments using a dial indicator
  • Possess the ability to rig equipment safely
  • Perform minor repairs on rotating and reciprocating equipment; assemble, disassemble, install, clean, and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, pulleys, and other mechanical parts as needed.
  • Connect or disconnect electrical components incidental to mechanical repairs.
  • Perform light welding, grinding, and fabrication work, if qualified.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and sketches; create sketches or schematics as needed.
  • Complete tasks using the work order system.
  • Record work performed and materials used.
  • Operate lift trucks and powered lifts as required.
  • Assist with daily equipment inspections.
  • Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and regulations, promoting a safe and compliant workplace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
