About The Position

Reporting to the Maintenance General Foreman, the Industrial Millwright will will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment in accordance with safety and operational standards. This role is crucial in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our processing requirements.

Requirements

  • Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) – 433A or equivalent experience.
  • Unlicensed millwrights are encouraged to apply if they meet the experience requirements.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in an industrial environment is preferred.
  • MTCU Basic Mill Process Operator Common Core.
  • CWB certificate is an asset.
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical components related to conventional milling equipment, such as conveyors, pumps, crushers, grinding mills, screens, and hydraulics.
  • Responsible for providing own personal tools.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Valid Ontario Class G driver's license.
  • Ability to identify hazards and implement proper lockout/tagout and other safety procedures.
  • Physical capability to work in all environments, including confined spaces, and at heights, while lifting and handling equipment over 50 lbs.
  • Adaptability to challenging conditions, including temperature extremeness, noise and environmental factors.
  • Previous experience using computer software relevant to maintenance operations.
  • Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills related to troubleshooting equipment issues, preferable in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Consult manuals, interpret diagrams and schematic drawings.
  • Maintain and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, including pumps, conveyor belts, crushers, piping, platework, tanks and flotation agitators.
  • Safely operate hoisting and lifting devices as needed during machinery repairs.
  • Address mechanical and technical issues both independently and collaboratively.
  • Accurately work with numerical data and occasionally create basic drawings of machinery components.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance on machinery.
  • Use welding equipment and/or hand and power tools as required.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance work.
  • Prepare and document maintenance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the area of responsibility.
  • Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free.
  • Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
