We're looking for a Lead Erection Technician—a seasoned leader, a technical ace, and a safety champion, to join our elite field service team. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you'll be the face of our company at customer sites, tackling the most challenging intermodal heavy equipment projects, from assembly to complex troubleshooting and repair.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 10+ years of relevant heavy equipment field experience, preferably working with gantry cranes or similar large-scale material handling machinery.
  • Deep knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assemblies
  • Strong crane signaling experience.
  • Ability to work independently, meet demanding deadlines, and maintain meticulous, accurate records while on-site.
  • Considerable climbing, twisting, bending, and kneeling.
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders/scaffolding
  • Ability to lift parts up to 50 pounds.
  • Approximately 80–90% travel to customer sites, including frequent overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and executing critical, large-scale projects at customer locations, including ports and rail yards.
  • Coordinating and executing the assembly and installation of massive intermodal heavy equipment, like gantry cranes and other material handling systems.
  • Reading and interpreting complex electrical and hydraulic schematics to diagnose, repair, and commission sophisticated systems and components.
  • Performing detailed preventative maintenance and comprehensive equipment inspections following strict OEM specifications, ensuring maximum reliability and uptime for our customers.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for customer equipment requests, delivering world-class service and technical expertise.
  • Upholding and enforcing all railroad, safety, health, and environmental regulations and policies with a commitment to a goal of zero incidents.
  • Securing an E-Rail security clearance badge to operate in this critical environment.
