About The Position

C&W Services is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Technician to join their team. This role involves the maintenance of production mechanical equipment and environments, ensuring facilities run smoothly. The technician will be responsible for repairs and preventive maintenance on various equipment, working in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment. This position requires the employee to work without supervision and contribute to the development of maintenance standards and procedures.

Requirements

Possess a high school degree or an approved GED.
5+ years' experience in industrial maintenance.
Working knowledge of using hand/power tools, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, welding, blueprint reading, mathematics, Preventive/Predictive Maintenance.
Ability to use hand tools on a daily basis such as power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, and hydraulic pullers), and rigging equipment.
Ability to perform welding, using a cutting torch as required.
Ability to operate and have knowledge of simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.

Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.

Nice To Haves

AA degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred, but not required.
4+ years education in industrial maintenance technologies / engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other power-driven rotating equipment.
Ensure repairs and preventive maintenance are performed in conformance with established standards.
Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards and work procedures.
Provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.
Use hand and power tools, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, welding, and operate heavy industrial equipment.
Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, and scaffolding, utilizing fall protection equipment.
Ensure compliance with all company and customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals, including employee development planning.
Communicate with team members to assist in the development of short- and long-range planning.
Maintain personal tools required for the job and supply an up-to-date documented personal tool list.
Meet physical requirements of the job.
Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Complete accurate and timely administrative duties, including time accounting and work order completion.
Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
