About The Position

The Industrial Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and improvement of system-controlled robotics, machine tools, and equipment. This role involves identifying and evaluating equipment conditions, determining repair and rebuild strategies, and owning preventative maintenance and extensive repairs. The technician will diagnose problems, plan and complete necessary work, and identify and order parts. They will also maintain and modify machine tools, conveyors, and process equipment, including components like spindles, pumps, motors, guarding, and drives, as well as lubrication fluids and coolant. A key aspect of the role is applying knowledge of components, devices, and equipment used in industrial applications and their related mechanics.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Discipline OR High School Diploma/GED with a Military Machinist Training Course
  • Ability and willingness to work off shifts and weekends
  • Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in Manufacturing Facility in a technical maintenance role
  • Strong mechanical and hydraulic fundamental and safety knowledge (schematics, precision measurement tools, LOTO)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate the condition of equipment and determine strategy to repair and rebuild
  • Own preventative maintenance and extensive repairs; diagnose problems, plan and complete work required, identify and order parts
  • Maintain and modify machine tools, conveyors, process equipment, facilities including spindles, pumps, motors, guarding, drives, bearings, lead screws including lubrication fluids and coolant
  • Apply knowledge of components, devices and equipment used in industrial equipment applications and the related mechanics including various machine tools, measurement devices, lathes
