Industrial Mechanic
About The Position
Sierra Processing, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a safety-conscious Industrial Mechanic to join the team at our recycling plant in Albany, NY. This role involves performing inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, air, and hydraulic systems on MVR equipment. The mechanic will also power wash heavy equipment, complete required paperwork using equipment maintenance software, review and complete repairs identified on Daily Inspection Reports, and conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment. Services calls for emergency breakdowns within the MRF may also be required. Garbage industry is stable and work is year-round.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Previous experience on Industrial Machinery
Responsibilities
- Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, air, and hydraulic systems on MVR equipment such as conveyors, paper and cardboard screen, ballistic screen, optical screen, balers, and others.
- Will power wash heavy equipment during routine preventative maintenance.
- Complete required paperwork utilizing equipment maintenance software program.
- Reviews and completes repairs identified on Daily Inspection Reports.
- Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Performs services calls for emergency breakdowns that may take place in the MRF.
- Other duties as assigned
