About The Position

ASM Plant and Industrial mechanics will work in a variety of environments and plant sites. They will install and repair mechanical components and equipment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
  • Awareness of national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
  • Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Mine experience preferred, but not required.
  • Required to work with minimum supervision/guidance requiring a strong self-motivator

Responsibilities

  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical components of industrial equipment.
  • Working as a team member or alone to complete projects.
  • Observing safety procedures and meeting operating.
  • Making decisions based on technical documents.
  • Performing quality testing and inspections.
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by safely performing maintenance tasks to troubleshoot, repair and maintain all facility equipment.
  • Inspects equipment for defects.
  • Assembles and aligns gears, bearings, and shafts, involving the application of press, and running fits.
  • Makes either temporary or permanent changes
