About The Position
Silgan Containers is hiring Industrial Mechanics for its Kenosha, Wisconsin manufacturing plant. The role supports the installation and launch of new industrial can-making machinery and involves troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and modifying mechanical systems. Mechanics use precision measuring tools and work to close tolerances up to .00010, while working with management to improve safety, quality, cost, productivity, and the work area. The position offers a starting pay of $29.73 per hour, with a stated range of $29.73–$37.16 per hour based on experience, shift differentials, a $4,000 hiring bonus, overtime availability, and quarterly bonus potential. Available schedules include 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and a continuous shift schedule. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- A can-do, will-do attitude.
- Experience working with machinery, fixing cars, or farm equipment.
- Ability to perform the job duties proficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation and launch of new industrial can-making machinery.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify mechanical systems.

- Work with management to improve the work area, safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested by a supervisor.
