About The Position

Accumet Engineering Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support our advanced manufacturing operations. This role is critical to maintaining high-performance production standards and achieving our goal of zero downtime. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery, perform precision installations, and execute a rigorous preventative maintenance program. We are looking for a professional who is technically adept, safety-conscious, and thrives in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in reading and comprehending technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely with high-voltage systems and a deep understanding of industrial wiring.
  • Comfortable with manufacturing computer applications and hardware maintenance.
  • Familiarity with ISO/AS requirements and a commitment to maintaining accurate maintenance records.
  • Strong ethical instincts, excellent clear communication, and the ability to lead or train team members under pressure.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the proven ability to multitask and prioritize critical repairs.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and navigate a dynamic shop floor environment safely.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on a variety of manufacturing equipment to minimize production interruptions.
  • Diagnose, repair, and install circuit boards; measure resistors and utilize diagnostic tools including multimeters, ohm meters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Read and interpret complex electrical (analog and digital), hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics to guide repairs and installations.
  • Maintain and repair high-voltage systems while ensuring all work strictly adheres to current industrial electrical standards and codes.
  • Execute and document a comprehensive preventative maintenance (PM) program to ensure the longevity and reliability of facility equipment.
  • Perform general machine re-builds, including the diagnosis of maintenance-related issues and the estimation of labor and parts required for repair.
  • Manage conduit installation, power supply routing, and control wiring using industry-standard electrical practices.
  • Perform necessary welding and machining operations to create replacement components or facilitate equipment repairs.
  • Maintain an understanding of PID control loops and their application within the production environment.
  • Diagnose and replace hardware components, including motherboards, and manage essential data backups for machine-integrated computers.
  • Observe general shop safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Work collaboratively across departments to ensure the facility remains safe, efficient, and operational.
