About The Position

Schumann Printers is a family-owned printing leader with a legacy of excellence since 1963. We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our bindery department. While printing/binding experience isn't required, we are looking for a skilled mechanic who brings a strong background in high-speed manufacturing-we'll provide all the industry-specific training you need to succeed. In this position, you will be the technical backbone of our finishing lines. You'll be part of a team responsible for keeping our Saddle Stitchers and Perfect Binders running at peak performance. If you enjoy hands-on troubleshooting and want to work in a stable, professional environment, this is a great fit.

Requirements

Proven background as a mechanic in a high-speed production or manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical skills and a solid understanding of electrical troubleshooting.
Comfort using measuring tools and following technical manuals.
Reliable team-player with clear verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Printing/binding experience is not required, but a strong background in high-speed manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot high-speed bindery machinery to ensure maximum uptime.
Perform routine checks and services to prevent equipment failures before they happen.
Use precision instruments to dial in equipment accuracy for high-quality finishing.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and parts used.
Collaborate with other maintenance team members and operators to enhance safety standards and shop efficiency.
