Inductotherm Corp is seeking an Industrial Mechanic (Furnace) to join their team onsite in Rancocas, New Jersey. This role involves fabricating and assembling components on small and large industrial weldments, including MIG welding, brazing, soldering, pipe assembly, plumbing, and installing hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as running wires and conduits, and performing sheet metal and steel fabrication.

Requirements

  • Math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and working with fractions.
  • Ability to read measuring devices such as rulers, tape measures, squares, levels, protractors, and formulas.
  • Mechanical aptitude – knowledgeable of hardware sizes, plumbing fittings, tools, proper size tips for brazing and soldering sticks.
  • Ability to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to braze and MIG weld.
  • Willing to attend classes/training to improve basic skills and non-essential functions.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Able to see, have good perception, and distinguish between colors.
  • Able to stand, climb, and bend for 8-10 hours.
  • Have good strength and be able to lift up to 51 lbs.
  • Quick hand and arm movement, or the movement of both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Communicate information and ideas, both written and verbally so others will understand.
  • Have a valid driver's license and able to drive an automobile.
  • Able to travel on short notice by public transportation including (i.e.: aircrafts, trains, bus, cars) domestically and internationally.
  • Must disclose any surgical implants, pins, braces or other devices that could be affected by induction fields.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete the Inductotherm Corp. hiring process requirements which includes a comprehensive assessment, drug testing, and a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certifications or related training preferred.
  • Experience with masonry and refractory installation preferred.
  • Experience with industrial painting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate weldments to specification for a variety of sizes.
  • Handle the assembly of pipes, and fittings for induction furnaces.
  • Manipulate (bend, compress, cut, etc.) sheet metal with hand and power tools.
  • Regularly read and interpret schematics for assembly of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components in machinery.
  • MIG welding, use of torch, and plasma cutting.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for oneself and co-workers at all times.
  • Perform general housekeeping as required.
  • Regular in attendance and able and willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime.
  • Will handle miscellaneous duties as assigned.
