Requirements

Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and blueprints.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
3-5 years of experience.
Proficiency in operating CNC and manual machine tools.
Completion of secondary school.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the drilling or mining industry is an asset.
Certification in a machinist apprenticeship program is an asset.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to determine machining operations and specifications.
Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machines, to perform precision machining tasks (e.g., milling, drilling, grinding).
Compute dimensions and tolerances, and measure and lay out workpieces using precision tools.
Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.
Fit and assemble machined parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools.
Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to company safety protocols and standards.
