This is a skilled position working to install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment. You will work under the general supervision of the shift supervisor, performing all electrical maintenance on equipment to maximize productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards. The Richmond, IN plant produces high volumes of quality blowing wool insulation for contractors and retail customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience with similar equipment
  • UAW or AFL/CIO journeyman card or equivalent
  • Must be able to read and understand written instructions, policies and procedures
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions and operate a calculator.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure
  • Must be able to read temperature and pressure gauges
  • Willingness to learn new technology and equipment operation
  • Physically able to perform essential job functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
  • Must be respirator ready.
  • Able to provide professional tools (supplemented by company) in order to perform job duties
  • Willingness to improve technical skills through continuing education, on-site training, and other opportunities as provided.

Responsibilities

  • Experience in servicing and troubleshooting belt conveyors
  • Experience in servicing and troubleshooting chain drives and components
  • Experience in setting and aligning motors
  • Experience with setting and troubleshooting centrifugal pumps
  • Performing all electrical maintenance on equipment to maximize productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards.
