Industrial Mechanic III
About The Position

Our work saves lives by advancing scientific analysis and investigation. We are seeking an Industrial Mechanic III to join our Facilities and Engineering Department in Torrance, CA. This on-site role is responsible for maintaining engineered systems, executing the preventative maintenance program, and installing, testing, and verifying the proper operation of manufacturing equipment. The role involves assembling parts, installing process piping, and servicing equipment such as motors, blowers, and pumps. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Engineering.
Requirements
- 2+ years as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment, preferable from the Pharmaceutical, Beverage or Food industry
- Strong background and knowledge in mechanical, pneumatics, and pump repair
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in preventative maintenance best practices
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and correct equipment issues as reported.
- Set up and changeover equipment in accordance with manufacturing recommendations and with all the required safety protocols in place.
- Perform routine and non-routine preventive maintenance as defined by the schedules.
- Maintain all documentation of work performed and update the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) with the appropriate information.
- Work with vendors and contractors as needed to perform installations and carry out maintenance work.
