About The Position

StandardAero is looking for an Industrial Mechanic II to join our team at our Maryville, TN site. This role is responsible for taking charge of day-to-day operations to ensure flight and product efficiency, working with the team to implement the right processes and practices across the organization. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an industrial mechanic or equivalent trade
  • Completion of an industrial mechanic apprenticeship program; or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience reading, understanding and interpreting blueprints
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with hazardous material handling and disposal.
  • Must meet US Persons requirements per ITAR.

Responsibilities

  • Read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Install stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery.
  • Troubleshoot, inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Adjust machinery and repairs or replaces defective parts.
  • Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
  • Construct foundations for machinery.
  • Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
  • Make recommendations to management and engineering for improvement of preventative maintenance practices.
  • Recommend replacement of equipment as required and assesses the condition of used equipment prior to purchase.
  • Be responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
