About The Position

This is a project-based internship where you'll have the opportunity to work directly with production teams, learn manufacturing operations firsthand, and design a practical reporting solution that will have a lasting impact on our business. The internship is focused on improving quality processes within the manufacturing operation.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Interest in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or Quality Management.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools is preferred.
Familiarity with Power Apps, Microsoft Power Platform, SQL, Python, Power BI, or other application development tools is a plus—but not required.

Responsibilities

Learn the day-to-day manufacturing processes in our countertop production facility.
Observe workflows and identify opportunities to improve quality reporting.
Collaborate with production supervisors, quality personnel, and leadership.
Design and develop an efficient tool or application for reporting quality issues as they occur on the production floor.
Create a user-friendly process that enables quick, accurate, and consistent quality reporting.
Present your final solution and recommendations to company leadership.
