About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician supports safe, reliable plant operations by performing preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, and repair of facility and production-support equipment. This role focuses on building/facility upkeep and general mechanical repairs while following all safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems and facility utilities; HVAC basics, air compressors/pneumatics, lighting/electrical safety awareness, pumps/motors.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, equipment manuals, and safety procedures.
  • Basic computer skills; email, electronic work orders/CMMS, documentation.
  • Strong attention to safety, quality, and housekeeping.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs/ladders, and work in elevated locations.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs (with assistance as needed for heavier items).
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, temperature changes, and moving equipment; required PPE must be worn.

  • Basic welding, fabrication, or machining exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Establish & maintain an electronic preventive maintenance (PM) schedule for facility equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain facility lighting, including fixture repair, cleaning, and bulb/ballast replacement.
  • Perform regular filter changes, lubrication, and oil changes on HVAC and shop equipment per manufacturer and plant standards.
  • Repair and replace compressed air/pneumatic lines, fittings, regulators, and hose reels.
  • Support welding operations by rebuilding and repairing manual MIG guns and related consumables.
  • Complete basic building maintenance and repairs as assigned.
  • Use hand and power tools safely; operate lifts and ladders as required; maintain tool organization (5S).
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hot work, confined space, and other applicable safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors/contractors for specialized repairs and inspections.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS/electronic system, including PM completion, corrective actions, and parts inventory transactions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts (root cause analysis, PM optimization, reliability initiatives) and support audits/inspections as needed.
