About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency by responding promptly to breakdowns, performing installations, and conducting repairs. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial mechanical systems, preventative maintenance, and safety regulations. The technician will collaborate with production teams, maintain accurate records, and perform welding and fabrication as needed. The position involves working in various environments and requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, along with comfort in physically demanding conditions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems and preventative maintenance practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces.
  • Comfortable working in dusty, noisy, and temperature-variable environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of all equipment and facility operations.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of risk management and process safety management programs.
  • Mechanical abilities.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of USDA, OSHA, and state guidelines.
  • Ability to read and write in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, agriculture, feed mill, or poultry operations preferred.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
