About The Position

This position is for an Industrial Maintenance Technician in an industrial manufacturing facility that produces metal and aluminum products. The role requires experience working on brake presses, stamping presses, and other types of machinery. This is not a facility maintenance position, meaning it is not for property management, construction, hotels, or hospitals. NIC Global is a single-source manufacturer providing turn-key mechanical and electromechanical assembly, expert sheet metal fabrication, and global sourcing of metal and plastic components. They provide products to customers such as Philips, PACCAR (Kenworth & Peterbilt), Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Physio Controls, and Leviton. The company employs over 600 people in Washington, Tennessee, Ohio, and Texas. The position is located in Tennessee and is for the 2nd Shift, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. The starting pay is $26.00/hr, with potential for higher wages based on experience.

Requirements

  • Must be assertive in completing tasks in a timely manner and have troubleshooting skills to solve problems with minimal supervision.
  • 3-5 years industrial maintenance in a manufacturing setting (metal fabrication is a plus but not required).
  • 5 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment.
  • Consistent demonstration of troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis.
  • Proven skills and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
  • Maintenance and improvement of manufacturing equipment.
  • Must have reliable transportation, and ability/willingness to travel to other facilities in Gallatin as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • PLC and robotic experience are a very BIG plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing and maintenance of facility equipment including turret presses, stamping presses, press brakes and other metal fabricating machines.
  • Servicing pneumatic hand tools, power tools, machine attachments, including but not limited to replacement of parts and control modules.
  • Troubleshooting machine issues; disassembling; repairing or replacing worn or defective parts.
  • Equipment wiring, low and high voltage electrical work, and troubleshooting other miscellaneous electrical issues.
  • Basic facility maintenance (carpentry, plumbing, furniture assembly and occasional moving, and other miscellaneous building maintenance activities).
