Position Summary: A Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs facilities and equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Ability to read equipment schematics.
  • Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or permanent resident cardholders.
  • Must be able to work full-time, 40+ hours per week.
  • Must be able to work in an industrial environment, including at elevated heights and in confined spaces.
  • Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
  • Ability to bend, pull, stoop, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and reach to perform functions.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
  • Ability to hear in person and via phone.
  • Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical.

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year technical degree a plus.
  • Working knowledge of thermal spray technology and general industrial technologies, including electronics, robotics, and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with digital maintenance management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the preventative maintenance programs to ensure that facilities and equipment are cared for on a proactive basis. Complete all preventative maintenance tasks on a timely basis.
  • Troubleshoot and complete comprehensive repairs to thermal spray equipment through knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, and related skills.
  • Evaluate maintenance requests to understand problems and determine the best resolution.
  • Maintain the operating condition of buildings and equipment.
  • Operate common hand or power tools.
  • Observe all safety rules in the production areas: Wearing Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Follow lockout/tag out procedures, Follow proper tie-off procedures.
  • Help in other areas as directed.
  • Use a digital maintenance management system to track work and log information related to completed tasks.
  • Maintain documentation and reports related to environmental and regulatory requirements.
