About The Position

This role is responsible for providing essential electrical/electronic and mechanical maintenance support for process machinery. The technician will perform repairs and diagnostics on machinery, equipment, and controls, including conducting thermal scans and vibration analysis. A key aspect of the role involves performing preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery and equipment. The position also requires expertise in the maintenance and repair of DC servo motors, CNC controls, and Fanuc robots. The work environment is onsite in Hattiesburg, MS, with a 1st shift schedule from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, including overtime as needed and occasional Saturdays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum four years of experience in the diagnosis and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment via competent use of equipment and procedures
  • Programming knowledge of PLCs
  • Proficiently use tools and instrumentation
  • Understanding of electrical/electronic and mechanical systems supporting process machinery and equipment
  • Knowledge of electrical theory, schematics, controls, HMIs, PLCs and troubleshooting
  • Basic programming of PLCs
  • Knowledge of pumps, hydraulics and electric motors and servos
  • Knowledge of switches, relays, photo electric sensors and lasers
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Technology
  • SAP experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide required electrical/electronic and mechanical maintenance support for process machinery.
  • Perform repairs and diagnostics to machinery, equipment and controls, as well as thermal scans and vibration analysis.
  • Provide preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Responsible for DC servo motors, CNC control, and Fanuc robot maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain technical competence in advancing technology.
  • Maintain AC/DC circuits, DC equipment and controls, single phase motors, three phase systems, power supplies and PLCs.
  • Use power tools to repair, modify and maintain production equipment.
  • Track and record production downtime.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
  • Identify root cause analysis through collaboration with Engineering.
  • Assist in resolving problems with pumps, pneumatic motors and power supplies.
  • Demonstrate and maintain a safe and respectful workplace environment.
  • Frequent interaction with Set-ups, Team Leads, Engineering and EHS.
  • Ensure applicable product compliance requirements are upheld including but not limited to the Clean Air Act, California Code of Regulation and California Health and Safety Code.
