About The Position

American Window and Glass is seeking a dedicated, technically skilled, and highly motivated Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team in Evansville, IN. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery, as well as fabricating and installing parts. The technician will also be responsible for testing and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and systems, and documenting all work performed.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience (mechanical, electrical, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, or robotics) related to equipment installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
  • Strong abilities in creating or modifying parts.
  • Experience in stick welding for repairs and modifications.
  • Solid experience as an industrial mechanic, particularly with motors, pumps, and conveyor systems.
  • Strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English including both verbal and written communication.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing machinery.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve potential maintenance issues.
  • Fabricate and install parts as needed.
  • Execute stick welding for repairs and modifications.
  • Assist with industrial mechanic duties, such as repairing motors, pumps, and conveyor systems.
  • Carry out general maintenance tasks, including lubricating machinery and replacing filters.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to diagnose and resolve maintenance challenges.
  • Test and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and systems.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and machine modifications promptly.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components.
  • Document work performed through written and electronic methods.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
