About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing and production equipment within industrial facilities. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and optimize productivity. The technician will collaborate closely with production teams to implement preventive maintenance programs and troubleshoot complex machinery issues. A key outcome of this role is to uphold safety standards and compliance while enhancing equipment reliability and performance. Ultimately, the Industrial Maintenance Technician contributes to the overall operational excellence and cost-effectiveness of the facility by maintaining high equipment availability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a technical training program or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields.
  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance or a related technical role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in industrial environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as OSHA safety certification, PLC programming, or electrical licensing.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on predictive and preventive maintenance techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions using appropriate tools and techniques, and execute timely repairs.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve equipment issues that impact manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, inspections, and parts inventory management.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and reducing downtime.
