About The Position

Pitney Bowes is seeking an onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician, 2nd Shift in our Levittown, Pennsylvania Presort Services facility. Your total hourly pay is $30. Your base hourly pay rate is $29 with a $1 per hour shift differential. Your 2nd Shift work schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday from 2:45PM - 11:15PM EST. You are a performance-driven contributor who can effectively troubleshoot, repair, or diagnose complex mechanical or electrical issues on industrial equipment. You are a Self-motivated individual who seeks opportunities to improve current practices increasing efficiency and reducing downtime of industrial mail sorting equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment.
• Strong familiarity servicing conveyer machines, PLC systems, and other industrial types of electromechanical production equipment
• Experience using a multi-meter or any other type of electronic testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals, and parts diagrams.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to the operation of automated equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, establish priorities, and work under deadline pressures.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations.
• The ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs of conveyer machines, PLC systems, and other industrial types of electromechanical production equipment (Mail Sorters/ Printers)
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery including belt/pulley systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, motors, photo-eyes, relays, drive assemblies, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids.
• Complete preventative maintenance according to industry quality standards
• Respond to equipment breakdown or emergency situations.
• Utilize inventory, pm schedule, and work order systems to effectively reduce downtime.
• Maintain the spare parts/supply inventory utilizing Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
• Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.
• Utilize a tablet to track assigned work and machine downtime as well as inventory used in repair.
• Perform all additional duties as required.
