About The Position

The PM Technician is responsible for performing scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and minor repairs on production equipment and facility support systems. This position helps improve equipment reliability, reduce unplanned downtime, maintain a safe work environment, and support daily production goals. The PM Tech may inspect motors, lubricate bearings, check gearbox oil level, verify heater bands and thermocouples, inspect pneumatic cylinders and air leaks, confirm guards and emergency stops function correctly, tighten electrical connections as permitted, and document any worn belts, leaking fittings, or abnormal vibration for planned repair. These activities align with the standard PM focus on inspection, servicing, early fault detection, documentation, and safety compliance.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one (3) year of related work experience in manufacturing or a comparable work environment.
  • Related degree from a college, technical college, or military experience.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools; ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
  • Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Performing scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and minor repairs on production equipment and facility support systems.

  • Maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Supporting daily production goals.
  • Completing PM work orders on time and with quality.
  • Accurately documenting CMMS.
  • Identifying potential failures before breakdown.
  • Complying with LOTO, PPE, and plant safety requirements.
  • Reducing repeat failures and emergency repairs.
  • Communicating effectively with production and maintenance teams.
  • Maintaining proper housekeeping, tool control, and parts usage.
