About The Position

The Interco Maintenance Technician performs general facility maintenance and repairs to the interior and exterior of the buildings on campus. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing the fixtures, appliances, and equipment as well as the setup, installation, and maintenance of company production equipment and machinery.

Requirements

  • Strong organization. prioritization. and multitasking skills
  • Proactive self-starter who can work independently
  • Proven understanding of equipment drawings, technical manuals, blueprints. wiring schematics, and engineering specifications
  • Ability to perform general facility and equipment repairs
  • Experience with 460v 3 phase Electric service
  • Ability to perform general mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and carpentry tasks
  • General proficiency with welding and fabrication
  • Minimum two years maintenance and repair experience required
  • General industrial machinery and mechanical maintenance experience is a must
  • Strong mechanical ability required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred or trade school course work or proven educational background in required disciplines
  • Attention to detail is critical
  • Must be a team player and be able to work with other departments within the organization
  • Ability to use PC-based software packages is imperative
  • Excellent work or school attendance record
  • Good communication organizational, and time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with filling equipment. pneumatic systems, electrical, and welding is a plus
  • Experience working at a metals processing facility is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform general facility maintenance to interior and exterior of building, fixtures, appliances and equipment
  • Maintain, setup, install. and repair production equipment and machinery
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
  • Inspect ladders, dock doors, dock lights, dock plates, and personnel door access for safe operation
  • Identify and repair faulty equipment
  • Comply with all safety requirements
  • Additional duties as assigned by direct Supervisor
  • Work independently on assigned maintenance work orders
  • assist other maintenance personnel as needed
