Industrial Maintenance Technician — Production Systems Reliability

About The Position

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with multiple manufacturers across Racine and Kenosha to fill several direct-hire maintenance roles. These openings feature 12-hour night shifts, competitive pay, and full company benefits. A day in the life Your shift begins by reviewing work orders and equipment documentation, prioritizing what keeps production moving. When a line goes down, you jump in—troubleshoot, repair, and restore operation quickly. Between calls, you execute scheduled maintenance, swap worn components, and document the work so the next run is smooth.

Requirements

Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) experience is required.
Two or more years working in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Fundamental knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Solid math and reading comprehension skills; able to follow written instructions.
Ability to read and work from blueprints and electrical schematics.
Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance programs.
Willingness to work extended schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Comfortable collaborating with production operators and supervisors.
Self-directed with strong time management and organizational habits.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years working in a manufacturing environment (preferred).

Responsibilities

Use equipment manuals, blueprints, specifications, and work orders to plan and perform maintenance activities.
Respond to unplanned downtime and perform emergency repairs to get production lines back online.
Complete preventive and scheduled work, including replacing bearings, belts, motors, and power/control lines.
Diagnose faults, determine root cause, and repair or replace parts as needed.
Disassemble malfunctioning machinery and reassemble with new or refurbished components using precision measuring tools and hand tools.
