A day in the life You start with a safety and quality huddle, then open the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to line up preventive jobs and scheduled work in our fast-paced food manufacturing facility. You walk the floor, ensuring personal safety, food safety, and quality protocols are top of mind. When equipment calls, you respond—diagnosing issues, executing fixes, and documenting everything with precision. Throughout the day, you partner across production, quality, and sanitation teams, delivering excellent service and helping drive our proactive reliability program. Your impact Champion company and regulatory program expectations and embed them into daily routines. Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities on schedule with pride in workmanship and customer service toward teammates. Be a primary driver of the facility’s proactive reliability and maintenance model. Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional personnel and support other duties as requested. Complete all maintenance records and work orders effectively and completely in the CMMS. Electrical, controls, and instrumentation Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, ladder logic, and troubleshooting guides. Safely and effectively use electrical troubleshooting devices. Preferred exposure to Allen‑Bradley ControlLogix PLCs, Remote I/O, and VFDs. Preferred experience with industrial networking. Preferred experience with HMIs, including AB PanelView and Wonderware. Preferred experience with servo and motion controls. General electronic troubleshooting skills. Mechanical mastery Mechanical drive systems and conveyance systems. PD and centrifugal pumps. High-speed rotating equipment. Pneumatic conveying systems. Mechanical system troubleshooting, welding, and repair. Pneumatics and lubrication. Preventive maintenance task execution. Use of CMMS systems for PMs and work orders. Automation, packaging, and utilities you’ll encounter Dough mixing, feeding, and extrusion systems. Baking ovens. Horizontal wrapping machines. Robotic packaging systems and robotic palletizing. Inkjet printers, case printers, and print-and-apply pallet labelers. Vision systems and barcode scanners. Metal detecting equipment. Boilers, air compressors, and ammonia compressors. Professional skills Excellent listening, speaking, and writing skills.
