About The Position

Own Uptime. Drive Reliability. CMC is seeking a Heavy Industrial Reliability and Maintenance Technician to keep mission-critical assets online in our steel products operations. The Challenge You’ll Tackle Continuously monitor and inspect equipment to spot defects early Execute predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance and log all work (time entry, notifications, work orders, corrective action/comments) Repair and maintain: overhead cranes, shears, benders, threaders, forges, induction heaters, welders Perform safe, full-scope repairs using hand, power, and precision tools—even at heights or in adverse conditions Support CMC Safety Programs and actively strengthen our Safety Culture Handle building maintenance as required Source parts and supplies; track purchase requisitions when needed Cross-train across systems and attend extensive equipment training Maintain housekeeping standards; keep tools and work areas clean and serviceable Collaborate with fellow Technicians on troubleshooting and job orders Step up for additional duties as needed

Requirements

  • 4+ years maintaining and repairing industrial equipment (heavy industrial preferred)
  • Hands-on mechanical and electrical experience; hydraulics knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to read technical documents/service manuals and communicate clearly in writing
  • Uncompromising adherence to OSHA, EPA, and company safety rules
  • Team-first mindset, attention to detail, and root-cause problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with hand, power, and precision tools for comprehensive repairs
  • Comfort working outdoors in all weather (heat and cold)
  • Willing to work rotating shifts with some required overtime; open to additional overtime as business needs
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs , climbing ladders and steps, and working outdoors as needed
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
