About The Position

The primary role of the Industrial Maintenance Technician is to develop the skills and ability to continuously improve the reliability, efficiency, and utilization of plant equipment and manufacturing processes. This is accomplished through training on the job with an experienced Technician and completion of vocational training through a local college. The company, Century Foods International, manufactures and markets dairy proteins and nutritional products under private label and contract manufacturing agreements for the foods, sports, health and nutritional supplement industries. They have state-of-the-art labs and superior process and service capabilities in their manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience.
  • Able to train other technicians.
  • Follows directions and makes basic technical decisions out on the production floor.
  • Responds appropriately to problems and identify opportunities and create solutions while applying industrial knowledge.
  • Maximize equipment optimization to yield overall production goals for the plant and company.
  • Able to read and execute work orders and fill out requisitions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industrial mechanics.
  • Basic understanding of tig welding principles, single phase & three phase electrical, motor control circuits, PLC's & frequency drives.

Nice To Haves

  • AA degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Apply industrial maintenance skills and knowledge to install, maintain, and repair plant systems and equipment.
  • Initiate and perform condition monitoring tasks including preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures to ascertain possible failure modes and participate with operations, plant engineering, suppliers, and other associates to improve equipment reliability.
  • Utilize the company's Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) and supports its use as a key management information tool.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement system modifications to improve equipment operations and provide for attainment of plant and department goals.
