Amentum is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician II to join their team of multi-skilled technicians in a manufacturing facility in Waukesha, WI. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 1st Shift; 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with workdays and hours potentially varying based on critical business demand. The role involves providing an entry-level of experience in responding to work orders with limited troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on production and facilities equipment, fixtures, and systems in an industrial environment. Responsibilities include performing inspections, checking sprockets, chains, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and related mechanisms; lubrication; cleaning; filter changes; and minor equipment repairs. The position also involves data gathering for predictive maintenance technologies such as oil analysis, vibration analysis, ultrasound analysis, and infrared thermography analysis. Corrective actions from predictive maintenance findings will be performed, along with inspecting and receiving new lubricant deliveries. Preventive maintenance will be performed as scheduled in CMMS, and recommendations for improving maintenance methods and equipment performance will be made. The role requires safely performing functions, following safety guidelines like job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures, and wearing required PPE. A variety of equipment, including hand tools, laptop computers, and diagnostic hardware, will be operated. A strict schedule must be maintained for assignment success, yet flexibility in day-to-day activities and scheduling is expected for customer benefit. Other duties may be assigned by a Manager or Supervisor.
