About The Position

The Maintenance Technician III works both independently and collaboratively with plant personnel to perform preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. This role is responsible for troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and performing repairs on general production machinery. The Technician III also provides guidance and support to Maintenance Technicians I and II and coordinates work with external contractors as needed.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience
  • Good understanding of hydraulic equipment
  • Electrical and mechanical skills
  • Ability to work with power tools.
  • Knowledge of equipment – Identify components on a drawing and work as directed
  • Understanding Equipment Function- can change out components as directed – basic troubleshooting
  • Understands how the electrical, program, hydraulics all work together and can troubleshoot independently.
  • Mechanical aptitude in complex mechanical assemblies including precision measurements.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Time management must be able to plan and execute routine maintenance activities as well as respond to troubleshooting requests and unexpected equipment issues.
  • Proactive carry out preventative checks and routine inspections. Must be able to see potential issues, take corrective measures and anticipate ongoing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses, tests, maintains and repairs electrical and electronic equipment, such as: Hydraulic presses, Hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems and components, Variable speed AC and DC motor Drives.
  • Obey all plant safety rules and procedures at all times. Including wearing proper PPE.
  • Install, repair and service electrical and mechanical and hydraulic equipment, production equipment, and any other equipment related to operations or maintaining the facilities.
  • Effectively troubleshoot using manuals, schematics, and diagrams to diagnose and eliminate problems as they arise.
  • Understand fluid power systems; troubleshoot, install, and repair power units, valve operation, cylinders, motors, pumps.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment using standard practices and procedures.
  • Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow all company and equipment safety guidelines and ethics rules.
  • Able to work with no supervision or limited supervision.
