Industrial Maintenance Supervisor
About The Position
Under minimal supervision, the Industrial Maintenance Supervisor manages plant machinery operations and building maintenance. The role oversees maintenance of production facilities and machinery, schedules preventive maintenance, troubleshoots malfunctions, orders and evaluates parts and supplies, and installs machine parts and accessories. The supervisor sets team expectations and goals, supports and trains team members, monitors performance, and provides feedback and mentoring. The position follows company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices, and requires regular, punctual attendance at the facility. The work takes place in a refrigerated food manufacturing plant. Conditions may be wet or dry, with temperatures ranging from 25°F to 110°F. Occasional lifting, kneeling, and bending while handling items exceeding 100 pounds are required. Production demands may require evening and/or weekend scheduling for more than 40 hours per week in this exempt role. The position is eligible for a bonus based on company goals and performance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic PC skills.
- Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
Nice To Haves
- Training experience preferred.
- English/Spanish bilingual ability is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Set clear expectations and goals for team members; provide training and support; monitor performance against goals and objectives; and provide feedback, mentoring, and support.
- Oversee maintenance of production facilities and plant machinery.
- Schedule preventive maintenance for the building and machinery.
- Troubleshoot machinery problems and malfunctions.
- Order mechanical parts and supplies as needed.
- Evaluate machinery stock parts for maintenance needs or replacement.
- Install machine parts and accessories.
- Follow company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
