About The Position

Responsible for all areas of equipment repairs and preventative maintenance of production equipment. Responsible for supervision of maintenance employees. Specific Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be as assigned: Assures all equipment is maintained in a condition capable producing to set production and QA standards Conducts weekly maintenance meetings Works with production machine manufacturers or material vendor representatives in the plant Oversees the daily activities of the Machine Shop and Parts Room Trains maintenance personnel on all plant equipment Monitors and enforces R.C. Bigelow Safety & Health policies and procedures Interfaces between Maintenance Manager and all mechanics. Monitors production floor data collection systems Additional Performs periodic reviews of Lockout / Tagout Plan and updates as needed Performs training of maintenance personnel Member of the Plant Leadership Team Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three years related experience or training
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of vendors or employees of organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Required to have vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus
