About The Position

As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will maintain and repair plant and facility equipment — playing a key role in keeping production running smoothly while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, OR 3–6 months of related experience or training (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Industry experience
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, twist, crouch, and crawl throughout the shift
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs. and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and communicate effectively
  • Ability to maintain close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

  • Routinely troubleshooting and repairing all plant and facility equipment
  • Ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing preventative maintenance
  • Maintaining parts and tools inventory
  • Controlling downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance
  • Installing new equipment as needed
  • Completing entries in the ERP system and accurately recording time worked to the appropriate job(s)
  • Operating a forklift as needed
  • Reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor
  • Maintaining a clean, orderly work area and complying with all OSHA and Puck rules and regulations
