About The Position

Haakon Industries is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support equipment uptime during night shift manufacturing operations. This role involves working across a variety of systems including presses, CNC equipment, conveyors, HVAC equipment, sheet metal machinery, and overhead cranes. The position requires hands-on troubleshooting, mechanical problem-solving, and the ability to respond effectively when production depends on you. This is a dynamic role where equipment issues arise, priorities shift, and adaptability is key. The work is hands-on, varied, and requires focus, urgency, and ownership, with each shift presenting new challenges. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems and working with industrial equipment.

Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience using industrial tools and equipment
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge in real time
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Desire to continue developing advanced maintenance skills
  • Relevant backgrounds include: Industrial maintenance, Maintenance technician or mechanic, Manufacturing maintenance, HVAC, Welding or fabrication, Millwright or mechanical trades, Other industrial mechanical experience
  • Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in manufacturing or production environments are encouraged to apply.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues across multiple systems in a live production environment
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore production safely and efficiently
  • Work with motors, bearings, chains, belts, gearboxes, and related mechanical components
  • Assist with rigging, lifting, and installation using cranes, hoists, and other equipment
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment as needed
  • Support equipment installations, modifications, and continuous improvement projects
  • Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout requirements
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Document work performed and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors
