About The Position

Epredia is seeking a 1st Shift Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join their dynamic team. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining critical industrial systems, including plumbing, mechanical, and electrical infrastructure. The mechanic will play a key part in keeping the facility running smoothly by performing preventative and predictive maintenance, ensuring all systems operate at peak efficiency. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED/Technical School Education or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ Years of Work Experience in an Industrial Environment and/or 3+ Years of Trade Experience (Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Controls)
  • Experience in Fabrication / Machine Shop
  • Experience with hand and power tools
  • Lock-Out Tag-Out Training and Experience
  • Computerized Maintenance Management System Experience (CMMS)
  • Good Computer skills (Microsoft Office, database and internet-based programs)

Responsibilities

  • Execute facilities start-up routines
  • Monitor status readouts of primary systems and take appropriate actions to ensure safety and reliability (e.g., water PH adjustment systems, filter press cleaning, amperage draw of motors and ovens).
  • Contribute to production efficiency by responding to maintenance calls, performing repairs, or deferring action to the supervisor.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs of electro-mechanical systems (e.g., AC/DC motors and drives, sensors, valves, hoists, PLC’s) and general industrial equipment used in a manufacturing environment.
  • Perform general facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, welding, lighting, painting, and light carpentry.
  • Complete special project action items by assigned dates and priorities, such as installation of new equipment, infrastructure upgrades, and equipment modifications.
  • Interact with the CMMS system to document work executed, time, spare parts usage, and place orders for parts.
  • Execute Scheduled Preventative Maintenance and Unscheduled Maintenance in compliance with safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Accommodate shifting schedules and overtime as needed to meet business needs, including support for production overtime and plant shutdowns.
