As a fully competent Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/Parts Crib, incumbent will perform repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, plant blow mold equipment and facility. They are also responsible for following our company's Good Manufacturing Practices. The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic responsibilities include ensuring compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies. This role also involves inspecting and replacing pneumatic and hydraulic hoses, inspecting, rebuilding and bench testing valves and pumps, performing preventive maintenance on all non-production equipment, welding, fabricating, and repairing various machine components, troubleshooting and locating root problems and repairing support equipment, and communicating with other departments on a frequent basis. Duties may differentiate by plant based on equipment and plant design. Other duties as assigned by management. Receives instructions on specific job tasks by Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician or Supervisor. Assistance is furnished on unusual problems and work is reviewed for application of sound professional judgment. The Parts Crib responsibilities include maintaining accurate electronic inventory records and transactions, quality inspection of tools and fixtures upon issuance and receipt of such items, performing cycle counts to ensure physical inventory matches inventory records, working with management to order and replace damaged parts and hand tools, assisting the maintenance department in ordering of supplies and optimizing inventory, maintaining all safety procedures and practices, and continuously looking for and identifying process improvements in the assigned area of work. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
