Vermont Cider Company is looking for a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support safe, efficient manufacturing operations on 2nd shift. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, solving problems independently, and keeping production equipment running at its best. You’ll focus on mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment reliability across a variety of production systems. You start the shift by reviewing open work orders and checking in with Production about any ongoing issues. Early in the evening, you complete scheduled PMs—lubrication, inspections, and adjustments—before lines reach full production. As the night progresses, you respond to mechanical problems such as conveyor tracking issues, worn bearings, air leaks, or failing components. You identify the root cause, make the repair, test the equipment, and document your work so the next shift has clear visibility. Between calls, you help with changeovers, stage parts, and make small mechanical improvements that reduce repeat failures. By the end of the shift, equipment is running reliably, PMs are complete, and the next crew walks into fewer surprises.
