Industrial Maintenance Mechanic 3rd Shift - Amherst, OH.
About The Position
We are hiring immediately for Industrial Maintenance Mechanics at all experience levels! Pay will vary based on experience level, includes a shift differential increase for 3rd shift, and has potential for overtime. We currently have open positions for 3rd shift. ATTN Prior Tyson Workers: Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment. Maintenance Mechanics perform skilled work in the operation, predictive and preventative maintenance and repair of the facility’s real property, power industrial trucks, and plant utility systems.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
- HVAC/R program or demonstrate completion of CIRO/CARO certification or within a relative field.
- If they do not have the training, their work experience does need to include a minimum of 6 months experience within an ammonia system.
Responsibilities
- Follows all company personnel safety, food safety, attendance, GMP policies.
- Proactive in the daily plant operations as well as set up and/or breakdown.
- Work to maximize plant efficiencies, reduce costs, and maintain product quality.
- Completes daily log sheets, communicates effectively, and is proactive in recognizing and reporting unsafe conditions and/or other mechanical concerns.
- Assist in maintaining a relevant and accurate mechanical inventory.
- Accurately and consistently change out parts.
- Lubrication, conveyor belt repairs, power train & bearing maintenance, motor and gearbox replacement, fork truck & pallet jack maintenance.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment in a timely manner.
- Must be willing and able to work effectively under time constraints.
- Must be willing and able to use measurement devices.
- Must be willing and able to perform electrical and mechanical predictive and preventative maintenance as tasked.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
