About The Position
This position is responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of hospital systems which provide normal and emergency power, heating, conditioned ventilated air, soft domestic cold and hot water, compressed medical and control air and medical vacuum. The operation of plant equipment is monitored, and repair and/or maintenance work performed to ensure the continuing supply of power, heat, water, compressed air, and medical vacuum.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of an approved apprentice program or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with all hand and power tools, including multimeter, amp, and probe.
- Basic knowledge of electricity and fundamentals of wiring.
Responsibilities
- Operation, maintenance, and repair of hospital systems including power, heating, ventilation, water, compressed air, and medical vacuum.
- Monitoring of plant equipment.
- Performing repair and/or maintenance work to ensure continuous supply of essential services.
