About The Position

Custom Filters Direct is expanding operations and preparing to launch additional production lines on 2nd shift. We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support our manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot machine issues, and minimize downtime. This position will play a key role in maintaining and repairing our high-volume Jewett filter manufacturing machines, conveyors, automated production equipment, and facility machinery. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong mechanical aptitude and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, machine mechanic, or maintenance technician experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with conveyors, automated equipment, production machinery, motors, bearings, pneumatic systems, and mechanical drives
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the shift

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment
  • PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with conveyor systems and material handling equipment
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and manufacturing machinery
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on Jewett machines and related equipment
  • Respond quickly to machine breakdowns and production interruptions
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems
  • Repair and replace motors, bearings, belts, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, rollers, and machine components
  • Inspect equipment to identify wear, safety concerns, and potential failures
  • Assist with machine installations, upgrades, and process improvements
  • Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and preventive maintenance schedules
  • Work closely with production leadership to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
