The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic primary function is to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, including stamping presses, to minimize downtime. This role involves performing mechanical repairs on a variety of manufacturing and fabrication equipment, diagnosing equipment issues, and implementing timely, effective solutions to support production needs. The mechanic will also set up and adjust dies in power presses, assist with die changeovers, and troubleshoot and repair production tooling and dies as needed. Additionally, the role includes fabricating, modifying, and installing machine guards and safety components, utilizing machine shop equipment for maintenance and repair activities, and assisting with large production runs while providing technical support to operations. Support for Engineering with prototype work, tooling modifications, and sample builds is also a key aspect, along with designing, modifying, or assisting in building basic tooling, fixtures, and machine components. The position requires performing precision measurements, providing tooling-related data to Engineering, and conducting form grinding and other machining tasks. Maintaining a safe and organized work environment while following all safety protocols is essential. The role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment (including stamping presses) to minimize downtime. Other duties as assigned.
