The Industrial Maintenance Manager will manage a team of mechanics for the West Chester production facility, which operates 24/7. This role involves leading the strategic growth of the maintenance department by defining roles, assessing employee talents, and transitioning operations from a reactive to a preventive culture. The manager will be responsible for troubleshooting issues using electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, performing maintenance and service based on equipment manuals and work orders, and repairing/replacing electrical components and wiring. Additionally, they will maintain critical spare components inventory, coordinate maintenance with production and quality assurance teams, and perform diverse duties related to installing and maintaining production machinery and facility equipment. This includes providing emergency repairs, performing scheduled maintenance, and demonstrating proficiency in troubleshooting all aspects of equipment operations. The role also involves diagnosing problems, replacing/repairing parts, testing, and making adjustments, as well as performing regular preventive maintenance. The manager will operate small equipment, detect faulty operations and defective materials, and report them to management and QA. They will also assist with equipment training and technology transfer to operators, comply with safety regulations, and maintain clean work areas. Supervisory skills are essential for encouraging and motivating team members. Basic computer skills are required, with a willingness to learn a web-based MRP system for updating schedules and checklists. Electrical knowledge of basic systems such as 480VAC three-phase wiring, 24VDC wiring, 90VDC motors, SCR's, AC motors, VFD's, and sensors is necessary, along with the ability to understand electrical schematics and troubleshoot machinery.
