About The Position

GM Canada is hiring Industrial Maintenance Electricians at its Oshawa Assembly facility. This is an onsite, full-time role. The Oshawa Assembly is on a journey to achieve a vision of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, and Zero Congestion, with building quality trucks playing a key role in funding this future. Requirements

  • High School education with valid Electrician License (309A or 442A)
  • Successful completion of Canadian Electrical Apprenticeship Program
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • 2-3 Years’ experience in a Manufacturing/Automotive environment
  • Must be available to work any Shift
  • Ability to work scheduled overtime as required

Nice To Haves

  • Robotics, PLC and HMI Experience preferred
  • Dual ticket a definite asset

Responsibilities

  • Safely troubleshoot various automotive stamping and production equipment
  • Troubleshoot VFD, Servomotors and Network Communication devices
  • Maintain and routinely monitor all mechanical and electrical equipment (preventative and predictive maintenance)
  • Repair, troubleshoot and install machinery, control systems and automation

  • Afternoon shift premium of 5%
  • Night shift premium of 10%

  • COLA Adjustments on a quarterly basis
