About The Position

Grain Millers Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Marion, Indiana. The Industrial Maintenance Electrician is responsible for performing electrical troubleshooting and repairs while assisting with mechanical repair and troubleshooting to improve operation efficiencies and reliability and maintain plant equipment and facilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of intensive previous experience in electronics, electrical wiring and instrument/electronic/electrical troubleshooting is required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics.
  • General fabrication skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Secondary education is preferred but not required.
  • Journeyman Electrician certification is preferred but not required.
  • 1-3 years of previous mechanical maintenance experience in equipment repair, installation and preventative maintenance is preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years welding experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and predictive/preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the electrical components for all equipment and facilities.
  • Assist with the repair and predictive/preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the mechanical components for all equipment and facilities.
  • Installation and troubleshooting of electronic equipment such as PLC's, variable frequency drives, soft starts, etc.
  • Perform general fabrication.
  • Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed.
  • Documentation of work performed in computer systems.
  • Maintaining clean work environment.
  • Participate in shift meetings discussing line and team performance.
  • I/O troubleshooting.
  • 120 Vac Control & Relay Logic wiring and troubleshooting.
  • 240 1 Phase & 480 3 Phase Motor Control installation, wiring, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Running of conduit and wiring.
  • Follow all safety policies and perform all safe work practices with documentation. This includes, but is not limited to, lock out tag out, preventive maintenance documentation, electrical safety, hot work program, grain handling standard regulations, Personal Protective Equipment, consulting with and following through on safety committee recommendations.
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to all GMPs, food quality, and food safety programs.
