Onsite - This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Oshawa Assembly on a full-time basis. The Opportunity We are looking for experienced Electricians to join our GM Oshawa Facility.

Requirements

High School education with valid Electrician License (309A or 442A)
Successful completion of Canadian Electrical Apprenticeship Program
Basic Computer Skills
2-3 Years’ experience in a Manufacturing/Automotive environment

Nice To Haves

Robotics, PLC and HMI Experience preferred
Dual ticket a definite asset
Must be available to work any Shift
Ability to work scheduled overtime as required

Responsibilities

Safely troubleshoot various automotive stamping and production equipment
Troubleshoot VFD, Servomotors and Network Communication devices
Maintain and routinely monitor all mechanical and electrical equipment (preventative and predictive maintenance)
Repair, troubleshoot and install machinery, control systems and automation

Starting at a full rate of $55.97 plus a Cost Of Living Adjustment (COLA) – currently $0.05/hour
afternoon shift premium of 5%
night shift premium of 10%
paid overtime (x1.5 and x2.0) in accordance with the collective agreement
COLA Adjustments on a quarterly basis

Annual General Wage increases scheduled in 2025
