About The Position

As a Sr. Industrial Maintenance Controls Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of controls systems in our industrial facilities. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing controls, electrical equipment, mechanical, and systems, as well as troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. In this role, you will impact the reliability and performance of our plant equipment, ensuring that they meet the highest safety and quality standards. You will collaborate with a team of skilled professionals to support the production process and contribute to the overall success of our operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Controls Industrial Maintenance Technician
  • Experience working on PLC programming and troubleshooting is required. (Allen Bradley, HMIs.)
  • Experience working in a multi-craft industrial manufacturing or similar environment with experience as a control technician, electrician and or mechanic is required.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Nice To Haves

  • Ten (10) years of experience as a Controls Industrial Maintenance Technician
  • Knowledge of welding, fabrication, troubleshooting, pipe fitting, and installation will be a plus.
  • Associate’s degree in electrical engineering or related field would be a plus.
  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification would be a plus.
  • PLC trainings and or certifications

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, which includes tasks like troubleshooting malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance, calibrating equipment, and ensuring proper operation of automated machinery by working with sensors, actuators, pneumatic systems, controllers, and related components, often utilizing knowledge of PLC programming and electrical schematics to diagnose and resolve issues; they may also collaborate with engineers to implement system upgrades or modifications.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they cause disruptions.
  • Troubleshoot plant equipment problems and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
